Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Editions: Standard vs Midnight

Two editions, one simple split: the Standard Edition ($29.99 / €29.99) is the complete game; the Midnight Edition adds a digital soundtrack and art gallery. Pre-ordering either unlocks an Alucard-style costume early.

Midnight Edition pricing varies by storefront and region, so check the store you are buying from — we would rather point you at the checkout page than print a number that is wrong in your currency.

The pre-order bonus

Pre-ordering unlocks an Alucard-style costume for Rose early — a nod the series' fan-favourite dhampir. Konami's product page lists it as an early unlock rather than a permanent exclusive, which usually means non-pre-order players can obtain it later; Konami has not confirmed how.

Should you pre-order?

The usual calculus applies. Nothing here is time-limited except the costume's early unlock, no edition includes early access, and reviews will publish around launch. Pre-ordering buys convenience and a costume; waiting costs neither content nor time in game.

Editions FAQ

Is the Midnight Edition worth it?

Everything it adds is appreciation material: a digital gallery with 71 tracks from the soundtrack and over 100 pieces of artwork. There is no extra story content, no expansion pass and no early access. If you collect game soundtracks and art, it is a straightforward call; if you just want to play, the Standard Edition is the whole game.

What is the pre-order bonus?

An Alucard-style costume, unlocked early when you pre-order — per Konami's official product page. Coverage of the reveal reported it as the only pre-order exclusive. As with most "early unlock" bonuses, the wording implies it may become available later through play or purchase, but Konami has not spelled that out.

Is there a physical edition?

Yes, on consoles. Konami's product page notes the physical version requires an additional download. There is no physical PC release.

Does any edition include early access?

No. Neither edition includes early entry — October 15 is launch day for everyone on PS5, Xbox and PC.
